Papal Visit Prayer 2010 At Pentecost 2010 the prayer card (scanned) above was released. At about that time a special collection was taken after Mass to defray the expenses of the Episcopal aspect of the visit. As the pope is to visit as a head of state the secular events and security of his holiness will be a charge to the public purse.

The collection box and envelopes will remain available in the porch area  at St Birinus Church for several weeks.
