The Friends Of St Birinus is a parallel charity pledged to the support of the property appertaining to St Birinus Parish. The Friends are independent of The Diocese.
As a means of informing parishioners and subscribers The Friends have placed a dedicated notice board in the porch of St Birinus Church.
On the notice board and as a separate laminated sheet for the use of visitors, is this description of the heraldic devices used on the refurbished Rood Screen.
At this time (Spring 2007) the roof of the presbytery and structural modifications of the presbytery are the current activity in the programme of refurbishment of St Birinus Church and its demesne.
