As the Newman Catholic Bookshop no longer exists in St Aldates Oxford I remind browsers of this site that there is a library of some 300 Catholic books in The Parish (Davey) Room. I wanted a Dictionary of Saints recently and, finding The Newman gone, was directed to another Bookshop nearby. Christian books, both new and s/h. Christian but not specifically Catholic.

I am reminded that The Catholic Truth Society has an online bookshop at www.cts-online.org.uk - I commend this to you and will see whether the CTS will allow a "Link" from this site to theirs. 020 7640 0042 is their telephone number. A stand of CTS pamphlets is available after certain Masses at St Birinus Church. Ask Len Macken.

A browser of this site has informed me that there is a Catholic Bookshop in Oxford. Family Publications, 6a King Street, Jericho, Oxford. The UK home of the Ignatius Press. One can purchase in person, or by phone, fax or online. King Street is a turning to the left on Walton Street Oxford. Just North of OUP and Freud's, opposite to entrance 6 of The Radcliffe Infirmary.
Another Update. = The Carmelite Priory,, at Boars Hill have requested a "Link" to their site. This will be foiund under Catholic Bookshops on the "Links" page which can be found on the "Home" page of this site..
